Handcraft: the finely crocheted pocket square
We are overjoyed that some time ago we were able to win the traditional Calabrese company as a supplier and manufacturer in Naples. The family manufacture is run in the third and fourth generation by Gaetano and Annalisa Calabrese. It is said that the company's founder, Don Eugenio Calabrese, owned more than 300 ties - even before he opened his first atelier. As early as the 1920s, Calabrese was making extremely elegant pocket squares with that carefully crocheted colored border that has become rare today. It is somewhat difficult to have this fine handicraft done, because some of the skilled ladies are already retired.
